Do cbd strains need any different/unique nutrients or grow environment?

This is my first time growing a high ratio CBD plant. This is supposed to be under 1% thc and somewhere around 8% CBD. Any considerations for growing to take into account? she kinda looks to be a heavy feeder, is that expected? Any general advice would be welcome. Thanks

Grow it just the same as any cannabis plant, its requirements are exactly the same, only the chemical composition of the trichomes is different. The fact that it is a "kush" strain with heavy indica influences would indicate that it likes "good going". I don't know why "cultivating CBD strawberry kush is possible but not advisable", but I guess you should proof read what you are copying and pasting before posting what you have copied and pasted! I thought this forum was about individual experiences and opinions, not an exercise in reading previously published generic information. MEOW! Hope this helps,........ Organoman,.

Thanks guys - except trinitye I’m assuming you copy and pasted that as well.. even if not, that’s a bunk ass answer that doesn’t really pertain to the question. Thanks for all that answered. I’ve noticed a few differences in plant morphology but I believe part of it is a mutation. It split off into two main stems, I’ve seen it referred to as “self-topping”. Will be interesting to see how she flowers, thanks!

Yes being a heavy feeder is expected. That strain is Indica dominate. Your plants look awesome keep doing what you are doing.

Growing CBD Strawberry Kush from Feminized Seeds With its advantageous Indica growth patterns, CBD Strawberry Kush has sturdy branches hidden beneath its bushy foliage of broad fan leaves. It grows a substantial central cola that towers above smaller lateral flower clusters, giving it a beautiful Christmas tree shape. On closer inspection, you'll notice that dense buds with fiery orange pistils and an abundant dusting of light trichomes make up these fruity bundles. CBD Strawberry Kush can survive unfriendly conditions, but it needs a mild, favorable environment and medium-to-heavy feeding for maximum bud and resin production. Topdressing with bat guano and worm casting when growing in soil also boosts the quantity and quality of the resin. Pruning away inessential leaves and lower branches allows better airflow and light penetration. A properly regulated indoor grow can produce up to 1.63 ounces per square foot. Such a bountiful harvest can be achieved by ensuring a temperature of around 70 to 79°F, and an RH level between 40 to 50% for the majority of the flowering cycle, lowered to about 30 to 40% two weeks before harvest. Setting up a Sea of Green (SOG) grow is also beneficial as it makes the best use of small spaces while also boosting the plant's yield potential. Cultivating CBD-rich strains like CBD Strawberry Kush is possible but not advisable, as it may expose the buds to unsuitable conditions, potentially reducing the quality of their precious resin. If this is still the preferred route, the plant thrives best in places with a warm climate, such as California, Australia, Southern Europe and Northern Africa. In the northern hemisphere, collection starts by early October with a potential harvest of around 15.8 ounces per plant.

No, they use the same nutrients and use the same grow environment as any other cannabis plant, now to answer if she's a heavy feeder, this may be some strains do need a heavier feeding than others.
