Hello and thanks in advance. This site has given me valuable information so I ask again. How long can a seed stay damp and dark before it must be planted. Don't want to miss grow window before heat hits. Should I first soak 24 hrs and then paper towel and come back 10 days later?

10 days later! Holy smokes, it would have buds on it by then!🤪 Lol just buggin. I soak my seeds until they sink, usually happens within 12-16 hours then they hit the paper tower for about 2-3 days checking on them everyday to make sure they stay moist, i plant them when the tap root is about 1/4" to 1/2" long and plant them about 1/2" under the soil/coco🌱

Depends on the seed. Older seeds I soak 18 hrs in spring water covered so they are dark in a warm area. Fresher seeds 3 hrs.I then pre moisten my grow medium with the same spring water. The key is not to have it wet just moist. Then I put the bean point down about 1/2 inch and cover the seed with the medium. Seed will pop up in 4-5 days. Gl

Will males revert back to veg if daylight is increased by only minutes daily?I'm flowering a male to create new genetics/seeds. I flower the males outside early spring (US - Michigan). Will more than 12hrs sunlight affect the males like it does females? Could I leave them outside without them reverting back to vegetative as the day hours increase?

Suicidal germinated seed, will it survive?My blackberry auto attempted suicide today when I went to water, washed out of the peat pod when I moistened the soil this morning. I dug a new hole and planted it a little deeper. Any chance this thing will survive? Was fully intact, not broken.
