There is no need to put boveda packs in jars right after filling. Let the buds settle and create an atmosphere in there by themselves and minerals to evaporate(buds shouldn't be over dried).Open the jars once or a few times a day depending on how they feel when you touch.Keep on for a week and you'll feel they get more solid this way. After when you think they feel good, smoke good and smell good too , you can put in a boveda pack and let them gain some moisture. But please don't leave the pack in there all the time because it surpresses the smell and taste. Only use when you feel your buds need moisture. Also, I don't wait for over %60 humidity to burp , some flowers won't reach that level and this is not necessary. Let them breath with their own remaining moisture for the first week , remove the covers , drier and lighter buds need less time outside/cover removed than more sticky and tighter buds , I go by my gut, for example I open up jars before going to bath , then come and close them after 15-20 mins , if I feel wetness when I touch, I leave them a little bit more then close the jars. Process is so simple and brings smooth smoke. In my opinion , Boveda packs should only be used if it is needed. Buds too crispy = need moisture . %50-60 range is what I like, especially lower 50s.

There are no stupid questions. It is true that you want to aim for 60% RH however, even if it goes over or under 60, you'd still want to burp at least to have that fresh air exchange. Based on your room RH, you can burp for shorter/longer periods of time to adjust your jar RH. Hope this helps.

hey there Chronicbastard, if you use boveda you dont actually need to burp that much, burping is mostly so the old air gets renewed so the moisture can evaporate. So do it from the first moments . I only jar them after slowly drying and a dry trim, but it's much the same principle for you. Hope this helps ! 🚀
