I like to use them for longer term storage. I’ll manually cure the bud over a couple months, and then once it somewhat stabilizes around 59-60% I like to drop one of the 62% into the large size mason jars. Keeps everything fresh feeling, smelling and tasting in my experience.

I'm just gonna tag the last answer as the answer, and not because the others were worse or anything, just because it was a question that could heal no straight answer as such. So cheers for your input everyone. I'm gonna buy some 58% ones for the use in joints, saw a few commercial vids on the products and have decided on the 58% packs for my usage - this time anyway.

Definitely a must have. I use both boveda and boost brands 62%. 1 8g pack in a sealed quart Mason jar with an oz of weed will stay fresh for over a year. I have done the same strain on jar with and one with out, no difference in aroma, but the ones with had he packs had that nice fresh sticky spongy feel.

Use em like em. After a certain point I do like a bit of dryer nug so after a month or two I usually remove from the jar. Thing I did last harvest was after my small bud were dry and the stems snapped, I took the whole mass and put into a plastic bag then left that for another two to three days. This seems to help a nice even cure to the whole product and recommend it for anyone. Also keep in mind Cannabis is photo sensitive so it should be stored in dry cool places and taken out and burped regularly as mentioned previously.

I use the 58% packs. I don't like to use them until after drying to the point smaller stems snap. You need O2 during cure, so even if in jars with these packets, better crack them open like normal or use a better method than jars. Construct a humidor with a larger one of these things, lol. I put 8g packs into 32 oz jars. Even when fully dry i don't let them sit unopened for too long. Anaerobic bacteria is no good for bud. You can recharge these packs. Not sure how best to sanitize them for multiple uses, though. They are safe to touch the bud, but probably better to keep separate somehow, like how they are used in humidors.
