at ~2" the girl self-fimmed by splitting rapidly into branches rather than elongate as i have previously observed in seedlings or other timelapse vids ..is this normal growth? or is it related to the cm led (formally tall trees leds) lighting at 2" above the lights or genetics

It's not a normal grow, but as you say she just shelfimmed. You should do some lst to be able to manage that branches. I dont see any mutation on the leaves. When I have this kind of problems I always give them 7-10 days more to see if they're able to recover or if they deceive to be thrown to the trash. Don't worry about the light distance if you are able to keep the PPFD between 50-100 and the temp on the canopy of the plant always <27ºC. The height is not a problem unless you cant check that PPFD values.

No, this is not normal and I would suggest abandoning this plant, I can't see this plant ever growing normally and is no doubt a genetic "flaw" that has caused this plant to grow like this. In my experience, seedlings that start out like this never recover and grow normally. Hope this helps,.............. Organoman.

This isn't normal seedling growth, this is going to caused by either the genetics of the strain or stress that's being caused, and could be coming from the light being so close at this early stage, you should be somewhere like 18 to 24 inches away from the seedling.

2" is way to close. Back it off to at least 10-12" for a low power grow light.

Not normal, probably genetics or some sort of stress. I wouldn't worry either way.
