Many schools of thought on this topic. If you aren't real familiar with the strain you are working with and how it reacts to defoliation I'd start slow with leaf removal and try to tuck what you can. If it seems to respond well you can defoliate a little more aggressive later on. Usually when I defoliate I will do an aggressive trim a couple days before flipping to flower and a light one mid flower. Of course every strain is different. Since it's growing strong I wouldn't be too worried trying it out.
