I saw a grower with a similar issue. Turned out his humidity was like 15% and 78°F was like 95°F in those conditions. Don't know if that's your issue or even if that was really his problem, it's purely anecdotal, but something to look at perhaps.

It looks like something was biting on the leaves. It also looks like more than just the top is having issues so its not light burn.

Motion-sensor lights causing accidental gas lantern effect?What effect will outdoor motion-sensor lights have on a plant if they turn on periodically during the night? I just transplanted during floweringI just re-potted my vanilla frosting in the midst of flowering. It was from an airpot and the roots and everything held up perfectly.
