These clones are 17 days old. I have been dealing with cal-mag issues from the start but i think it's starting to come around. My question is should i remove the leaves that have already been severely affected?

Hi there Somewhere. Once you identify and fix the problem and the symptoms have stopped spreading, that means that the plant has recovered. If the plant has recovered , then it's okay to remove them, but it does really do anything. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Your plant will "know" it can't repair the damaged leaves and will not "focus" on repairing them, it can not repair damaged vascular tissue, this is why it will translocate the sugars, amino acids, sugars etc out of the damaged leaves for use in the freshly growing parts.

Yes, you should because they're not going to get better even once the deficiency has been handled, and plus the plant will focus on repairing them instead of focusing on growth.

Just remove them when they have gone completely yellow, at this stage they are still providing your plant with a little energy through photosynthesis, although not a lot, but a whole lot more than if they were not there. These damaged leaves will also provide your clones with a ready source of premade sugars, amino acids, carbs etc that will be translocated from the damaged leaves to the healthy growing parts, so another reason to leave them until they go yellow. Hope this helps,............. Organoman.
