The reason growers defoliate the plant is to increase light and air flow.
Your plants are not dense enough to need it.
If you did strip them, they would have a hard time recovering and bad things may happen.

Week 7 SCROG vs Defoliation questionI'm in the middle of week 6 of flower, both strains are expected to finish at 8 or 9 weeks. Plants are crowded. Buds aren't as big as I was expecting. I'm not sure if I should leave the SCROG canopy to boost the crowns, or defoliate to get more light to the lower bud sites.

Is it time for light defoliation?These plants are all 4 almost 5 weeks since seed. Top leaves on the large one at the back are shadowing those beneath it. A couple leaves at the bottom are extremely limp due to not receiving enough light. Is it time for a light defoliation? How do I distinguish which leaves?
