SF-1000 safe distance and dimmer for seedlings in soil?

my seedlings are stretching and not growing in size. soil, autos, dropped in water 7 days ago and moved to soil in solo cups.
What are people running the SF-1000 at for seedlings?
I was at 30" and 20% but that's not good clearly.
I've moved to 24" @ 45% so far.

Light cycle messed up do I have leverage for one mistake?Timer messed up the cycle and stayed on for an extra 12 hours.. So in total she was, for 24 hours in light... Soon as I noticed I manually turned off.
Now the question is.. It's messed up and now off when supposed to be on vice versa, does the one mistake matter so much, seeding?5y ago

Light hanging distanceI’m not sure how high to hang my light. My plants seem to be all staying extremely squat and not stretching, though all seem healthy. I’ve been fiddling between 18-28 inches and 600-800 ppfd (ios meter app) and I can’t find a distance that seems to make them happier. D26 autos
