Hi Mate, with strains you know, I would say absolute no problem... do it. top, fim.. whatever.. But if you don´t know how the strain is reacting to HST it could go either ways. Last run I had a Gorilla Glue FB which I topped on the 4th node, really liked it and turned to a huge bush giving 425g wet Buds, which is great for an auto imho. If you want to go safe then give them a propper LST. Good luck and happy trails for the rest of the way.. Servus👋 OimRausch

Jam a net on top and lst the plant. Keep everything the same height till you run out of room or till after the stretch. Lolipop after the stretch. Maximum yield achieved!

Neither for an auto? I have always been told LST only for AUTOs as you are trying to minimize stress in short grow cycle. I've done it for autos whos strain I know to be larger / more vigorous, not sure it was even a good idea then.

I top my autos at least once per grow, make all the bud sites more even and lets the other bud site catch up. I wouldnt do it more than once with an auto tho there isnt enought time for topping twice.

I prefer a top as it should be, take off the lower sundresses as it grows and feed it properly without wasting time in apical cuts. But they are personal choices and in the end if done well of little importance, perhaps for convenience if you have little ventilation 2 minor apexes are better than a huge one.

Hi mate, I'd do as much topping and LST as you can before she switches to flower...Just leave time for it to recover, 4 days or so after act.

On an auto I prefer just LST . You can top but It will slow down growth a bit. Autos are on limited time so LST is the best as there is no damage for them to recover from . If you LST properly you can still get a nice even canopy . Just requires a bit more more of bending branches/defoliating . Check my latest diary if you like . I just used LST to fill out a 3x3 👍🌱
