Sugar leaf or bud? What trichromes matter?

I'm looking for some better clarification about checking trichromes. Are the trichromes on the sugar leaves as important as the trichromes on the bud itself, when trying to determine if she ripe for the picken?!

Only on bud. Hopefully, you'll remove most of the sugar leaves so their trichones don't matter. They tend to mature quicker than buds.

all trichomes if the plant...
on the lower bbuds and leaves topbuds etc.....
you can also harvest in stages, first the top buds later the rest of thee plant
