Mold on stored coco/worm castings

Hey all, I mixed together 40L of Coco and 10L of worm castings, and left it sitting with a lid. Sure enough, it has some mold growing on the top. Can I still use this medium or should I just throw it out? (Not broke, but cheap!) Thanks

This is exactly what should want. Beneficial fungi and bacteria allow for organic nutrient exchange.

Depends on what kind of mold it is...I'm not toi familiar with coco but I grow in living /super soil, so some mold is beneficial and bound to happen when you add certain products. My mold appeared when I added malted barley but after a quick Google it appears to be good mold beneficial to the soil microbes and plants seem healthy. Check out my current grow...
