Big Fan Leaves

I good rule of them is anything lower than your buds sites, or anything pointing in toward the nug sites and throwing shade to the lower canopy...think of it like this if its a big ole pretty leaf , it took all that energy away from your buds to get that way....take them big leaves off and your bud sites will explode plus all the leaves that you take off will come back twice somewhere else ... Depends on the type of plant and why you are defoliating if you are defoliating for air flow yet the tips of the leaves are still moving then that is pointless and will not free up any extra airflow no defoliation is usually used in late flower to remove leaves that are blocking large bud sites from getting light in that case yes take the leaf off but in any other case I would leave it as she need all her fans for energy to convert all that energy into your buds making them larger and grow quicker if you take a healthy leaf off a plant you are taking away that energy from her that she could be using to grow faster and larger with a better yield. When in doubt do nowt :)
