Sorry yes your correct Chow it does indeed have the EC function which is such an easier function to understand when vs with PPM anyway Chow is right for Hydroponic DWC especially. The ph needs to be around 5.5 to 6.5 ideally you wanna aim for 5.8- 6.0. though I would check your chart as to what water to use or what they advise because you haveto take into account the extra ec already in your tap water. cause you will not get accurate readings if you dont :) Personally I would not go over 0.6 ec for seedlings then 1.0 for preveg and then upto around 1.6 to 1.8 for veg and I can go as high as 2.3 in late flower :) You'll find with some experimentation you will find the sweet spot eventully :) DWC is the way I chose to cultivate its fast :)

From what I can see with the vivosun meter is µs/cm or TDS. It would be best to use the µs/cm Which means you would divide by 1000 to get EC. so a reading of 400 would be .4 EC. TDS calculation is different depending on the manufacture. most will go on a 500 scale or 700 scale. but there is also a 550 and a 640. This calculation to get EC would be to divide by the scale that the meter uses. so If the meter read 350 and the meter was on a 700 scale you would take 350/700 = .5 EC Also, are you running hydroponics with the roots directly in water? If so your PH should be between 5.5 and 6.5.( 6.5-7.0 is for soil )
