There's always a risk of burn. But up to you if you wanna take it. Resilient genetics can handle it... But you'd have to know your seeds well. In any case, try happy frog first. If you don't have that... Dilute about a cup's worth of soil in the center of your pot... with coco, older soil, or whatever safe substrate really...anything that dilutes the hot soil .. that way, the center where you are planting isn't too hot... But when it grows out .. it can consume all the ocean forest nutes it wants without burning... Good luck!

Of course it is. But wait until you see the roots come out of the pellet and the plant is a little bit bigger./stronger 🌱👍

I have done many grows just as you are. A peat pellet into Ocean Forest. And they all rocked. Early on I created a core of Happy Frog with Ocean Forest around the edges and I actually got less production. So, now I do a peat pellet into a big fabric pot of Ocean Forest. You do need to pay attention to what the plant is telling you but it's a pretty easy system that's produced great results for me.

Go with happy frog first. Then do a mix of happy frog and ocean forest.
