Is there a way to predict the size of buds I’ll have by looking at this ? I don’t want popcorn size nugs. I obviously want a large yield with quality bud, it’s my first grow though so not sure what to look for right now . Week 3 of flowering-28”-30” tall . Philzone & king led

Bud size is genetically controlled. All you can do is provide good nutrition and growing conditions to produce a plant capable of growing prime flowers. Light quality and strength being main factors for good floral development. At this early stage it is impossible to predict final flower size and all growers want huge, fat and dense flowers with trichomes overflowing. Nobody wants popcorn buds if they can help it. Your plants flowers still have 6-12 weeks of growing to do, and it will be what is will be, all controlled by genetics. Feed it properly and give it good light and she should grow her best flowers. There are no magical tricks that anyone can do to turn popcorn into pumpkins! Hope this helps,.......... Organoman.

Hi I looked at your growdiary, and it seems u didnt top or fim the plant. Also you have set-up the scrognet but did not fold the plantflowers neatly under them to make a canopy. I dont really see the training either, where stems are bend over to give the others more light. So what u now have is: some buds are too far away from the light and some are too close. You can dial in the light way better if u slightly bend the highest buds lower and weave them trhrough the net, if u have led, then setup led 24 inch from canopy. set led to 100%. Then, defoliate underside, remove leaves that have no light anyway. Then follow supercrop, where u bend and harm each stem that carries a bud.. Feed a litte more phosphor and calmag, stop feeding with three more weeks to start flush. Dont be affraid to carefully bend those highest buds under the net. If u have a snap, just tape it up, it will heal. Good Luck!!

P.S. - don't defoliate, it can/will cause smaller and/or slower growth due to the reduction of the plants capability to produce energy through photosynthesis. Less leaves = less energy = less growth. Cheers, Organoman.
