Do I need to poke holes in this type of pot for seedlings?

Hi, I was wondering if I could set my seed inside this pot without making holes in its bottom and sides since it was sold like this. It is made of a cardboard-like paste and I don't know if it could help with drainage after watering my seedling during the first weeks.

I would. Even though the pot is permeable seedlings often suffer from over watering. So I’d poke 6-8 holes in the bottom with a screwdriver or something like that. And unless it’s going in the soil outside where worms and such would eat it I wouldn’t plant seedling in the pot as it will not decompose fast if there isn’t anything to eat it. Happy Growing and good luck!👍
