Do I need to poke holes in this type of pot for seedlings?

Hi, I was wondering if I could set my seed inside this pot without making holes in its bottom and sides since it was sold like this.
It is made of a cardboard-like paste and I don't know if it could help with drainage after watering my seedling during the first weeks.

I would. Even though the pot is permeable seedlings often suffer from over watering. So I’d poke 6-8 holes in the bottom with a screwdriver or something like that. And unless it’s going in the soil outside where worms and such would eat it I wouldn’t plant seedling in the pot as it will not decompose fast if there isn’t anything to eat it. Fabric grow pot drainageHow do you get proper drainage? Using them in this grow with coco/perlite and another with soil, and unless I raise them on a rack the bottom stays wet because they sit in the runoff pan.
