My advice is to let the eath dry out until top is dry for one finger digit (1 inch), spray leaves with a calmag solution for immediate uptake w/o further wetting the soil. If you use normal potting soil, be aware that they usually contain food for up to 6 weeks, after that you should add nutes of choice for growing. Just water only when soil is dry on top, little moist a little deeper.
