Without spending heaps of money, is there any way to get cool air into the attic or the hot air out? Can't seem to find a suitable solution for me.

I have modified a cheap window air-conditioner that I bought at a end of season sale. I removed the front cover and glued a piece of foam over the air outlets and drilled holes in the top for new cold air vents so I could attach hoses to direct the air where I want. Then on the front I glued a plastic storage container over the air return and attached a hose. Then the hoses can run to your tent or grow room. https://imgur.com/mqfLqcL

I also grow in the loft. I recently added a few 125mm holes in my wall, one for hot air out one for cold air in. Before I did that I used to have a length of ducting running from the eaves on the cool side of the house, I used a cardboard box to create a sort of manifold to get it into the eaves. I did the same on the extractor ducting but to the hottest side of my house. It can be a real pain with heat up there at this time of year.

Hi mate, I grow in my attic. I have used a damp proof membrane to seal off the tallest/usable parts of my attic. I exhaust (4" inline) out of the membrane. My roof has tiny gaps between the slate that let's in light but no water.. probably not great but it helps me vent out 😝. I then have a 6" inline that feeds fresh air into the attic from my walkin wardrobe. When it gets too hot I put my 6" inline duct into the tent to cool it down. It works perfectly. If you raise the humidity that also drops temps a little. I also considered using the chimney to exhaust out of as well. Hope this helps 🙂
