Air flow method

I removed the hood from the home AC to run cold air directly into the grow tent with a 4 inch duct at the bottom. I have an inline fan to push hot air out to balance out the air pressure at the top. Is this a good idea or should I just have a fan inside with no in or out?

Hey buddy, I’ve done exactly the same like you do.I take my inhale air directly from my AC and exhaust with two 6 inches fan.It will greatly lower the temp in the tank.Also don’t forget to put another fan in your grow tent for air circulation around the plant.Happy growing..

what @ Bloombuster said is right! Hot air goes up, so if you put cold air in, put it in the floor level, so it will pass thru the whole tent until it leaves on the top of the tent!

Hey bro! 👋 Everything's good, the idea is solid! But you need to connect the fresh air intake at the bottom of the tent....... that way the freshness will flow from the plants to the lights and exit out the top! Warm air always rises, bro! 👆 Good luck, buddy! ✊😇

Also another thing, you are wrong with your inhale line.Inhale line must be at the bottom because cold air stay low.And exhaust hot air from top.Happy growing..

This should work fine as long as the temps don’t get too cold when the lights turn off! I have a very similar setup & it works great! Plants are looking great! Hope this helps, happy growing!✌️🏼🌱

Is high humidity at night bad for cannabis?During day, I can maintain the grow room temperature to 75-77'F and humidity 55-65%. But at night, temperature raised up to 77-80'F and humidity up to 70-80% because I closed vents and air condition. Could this effect my plants in long term? Should I open vents at night also?

Intake Fans / Opening Lower Air Ducts or Back Flap?I'm researching intake fans and/or opening lower ducts to pull air in. I never worried about intake in the past, I just made sure my fan up top was sucking air out of the tent to create negative pressure. Thoughts on intake fans or having the back flap of the tent open? How to reduce humidity in my grow space?I'm just an amateur and am growing in my closet as I have very limited space. It's a small space in which I can't cut holes or openings. I use a small fan and a air purifier. Should I get more fans? Does a carbon filter or inline duct help if it can't exit out of the closet?

Dehumidifier recommendations Any recommendations about a dehumidifier for the 4x4 grow tent? I think even with vacuuming run-off more frequently, I won't be able to get humidity consistently down below 60%. Amazon has some in the 45-90 USD range...

Can't vent exhaust fan outside, is this a problem?I have my 2x2x4 tent in a closet, with a 4" carbon filter inside the tent and a 4" inline fan outside of the tent, exhausting. But I have no way of directing the air to outside or even out of the room. Will this be a major problem for me? Room is otherwise AC'd via central air.
