Usually safe to start topping after the 3rd to 4th node.

I would have topped by now from the looks of it. I usually top once the plant gets around 5 nodes. If they have been happy and healthy, they will probably recover quickly. As long as you are in veg, you can usually top whenever.

Topping for scrog I'm putting 3 plants into scrog net. Would it be best to keep these topped to produce 4 mains so I can spread them evenly sideways as opposed to the way I normally top for 8 mains? In a 4×4 tent.

New nodes after topping very small, should I top more?I topped my plants a few days ago, but just the tips when the side nodes where just as little as a few mm. I've seen a lot of you topping like a whole bunch of the top. I mainlined my plants but I dont know if I should top them again so the nodes under the top become main nodes.
