Is it better to continue with defoliation only and switch lights 20th of January, or make some lst now and let her evolve longer (until the end of January...)? She had topping already💀

You don't have much plant there. I would do NO defoliation as it is quite open and airy. I normally start low stress training when the plant is about the 3rd - 5th node. No defoliation. This is the phase where you want to encourage as much vegetative growth possible. You need a big plant to produce big yields. So, I would start LST now and consider switching the lights around the end of the month if the plant gets to the size you want. Keep in mind switching to flower is not about a date on the calendar. You are letting the plant veg until it gets to the size you want. If that takes a few weeks longer then I would give her the time she needs.

thanks for answers yall by defoliation i meant not now but as soon as it will be needed, also it is not my first grow, but first INDOOR 100% ORGANIC without any nutrients so they might grow a little slower than with that all boosters! made some lst and waiting to evolve, english is not my language so it might be the case also 😂 BR

I am a big fan of many training techniques, but you need to slow down. Grow few plants without training, understand what they need, how they grow and what you need/can do to make them feel better and reward you with loads of bud. Your plants look pitty, I doubt you needed toping at all,but you done it, forget defoliation !!!! I am a biggest fan here and I am telling you, that's not the one, or at least you don't have what to ventilate better, give more light or any other reason behind healthy defoliation. Growing is fun, just I don't understand why everybody starts to do Salto mortale on there first jump. Learn to walk first ! Hope it wasn't rude, all the Best !!!

Im kinda against defo, also the plant usually get rid of unecesary leaves by itself! Lst is almost a must! If done correctly, you can improve significantly the yield! Be always gentle 👊🏽 Good luck 🍀🍀🍀

LST yes, Defoliation NO The plant is to small for it to bounce back from a defoliation without it being negatively effected. Be is stunted or in shock where it does not grow well for a week or so. LST is a great tool when they are that size, I like topping in combo with LST. and doing a mainlining style grow. but it takes time. If you want to get a lot out of this plant, you need to let it grow out more and only defoliate once a month and other the leaves that are obstructing light and air flow. Best of Luck and Happy Growing.

I’m not sure I would be defoliating a plant that small? But starting some LST would be wise

If you want to achieve the highest yields it is best to train it a little more before switching to 12/12. Topping is a good beginning, I personally always try to get 8 cola's which means topping a total of 3 times. Also great looking diary!
