With Autoflowers you want to avoide as much stress to the plant as possible because you are on a set time of growth before its flower. Topping is considered stressful to the plant. However, some people do this and have good success.
Personally I always LST my Autoflowers and they turn out amazing. If I were you, I would simply pull down the plant to level out the canopy and keep pulling down the branches as they grow. This will open it up and cause more branches to get better light and in return produce amazing colas all over.
You can check out my Banana Purple Punch Diary to see how I LST my plants and then what they grew up to be.
I hope this helps.
