Is doming clones a must?

I just topped 2 plants and for shits and giggles decided to try cloning the toppings. I removed the bottom leaves peeling down to expose the flesh and dipped in pro-mix root stim, they are now in my veg tent that’s at 82F and 50% humidity. I just didnt have ziplocs to dome them

Definitely recommend it, but they may root as is. You can cover them with darn near anything that will help keep that humidity up for them. I’ve used cling wrap before just placed on top of it.
If it’s just for shits and giggles then give it a try as is.. misting them regularly will achieve a similar effect to high humidity of a dome

You need to keep humidity between 75 and 90% so you really should unless you can maintain that in your grow area.

Cloning- When cloning what ph and ppm do you usually stay at or does every plant have different likes?I have been trying different levels and seeing the changes. 3 clones just burned at 5.5 ph 89 ppm. But those same 3 were fine at a higher ppm with a ph of 6. Should I lower ppm and keep at 5.5 or back to 6? They haven’t rooted in 7 days. And what water level do you keep on them?

I cut off the lowest part node and scratch a bit of stem then put it pre saturated peats.

Any advice for cloning? Haven’t had luck on the previous attempts.I’ve attempted a cutting… well the topping from my Violator Kush grow. I have never had any luck with cloning despite my research, any advice would be awesome. Cut the main and stripped it, dipped in promix stim root, planted in FF happy frog, watered and domed. 76F 48% in tent.
