I’m not seeing very many white pistils. I’m also seeing brown spots mostly only on the top. I’ve started flushing but wondering if I’m too early and if the brown parts are just where it’s dried out

The brown parts are botrytis/bud rot. If there are only a very few white pistils left, she is ripe for harvest. Harvesting sooner rather than later, and not giving the rot a chance to spread, is what I would be doing. Cutting out the rot asap and carefully is very important. This needs to be thorough and done before hanging to dry, otherwise it will spread quite quickly amongst your drying flowers. Cutting generously away now will prevent throwing out much more later on. Hope this helps, Organoman.

If the actual bud is brown, you may have bud rot. If your talking about the hairs turning brown, disregard that and watch the trichromes. But again if you have actual brown buds you may want to cut that out of the plant before it spreads. You'll need a better camera, digital microscope or a jeweler loop to see the trichromes. You want them mostly milky/cloudy or with a little amber if you like a couch lock high.
