Bud rot 4 weeks out from harvest

I noticed some fluffy white bud rot this morning, I pulled the infected bits and added another fan. Should I defoliate to get more air through, but will that shock the plant a nd cause it to start seeding?

If its end of life and its truly bud rot mold it won't do much damage if you strip off some leaves, best to get more air in their and keep the RH on the lower end of the spectrum. Bud rot tends to make the buds go grey and squishy. WPM makes a white powdery layer over everything. WPM is a bit harder to deal with I find, with bud rot you need to cut away all the infected material and dispose of it, don't be afraid to give it a wide margin of error when cutting it out as the mold is tricky and spreads easily. Can spray a bit of hydrogen peroxide to try and deactivate some of the spores but to much will irritate the plant. Best to wash you buds after harvest now, mold spores are everywhere, just waiting to germinate when the conditions are right. Good Luck!

Impossible to see in that pic. But fuzzy mold at this stage, is not good. Your ventilation needs turning up. As does your overall canopy air-flow is poor. Otherwise, you shouldn't have this, at any stage. My opinion i guess. Fungi above soil level is not a good Fungi.
