These new "fast versions" from what ive been able to dig up are a Photo X Auto (and an Auto is a Photo X Pure Ruderalis) so its 1/3 Ruderalis and 1/2 Auto. The better breeders then cross or back cross to stabilize it...the dodgy ones dont. So sound like your beans were not stable and one was Photo heavy and the other was Auto heavy. Thats why I stay away from fast versions for now. In saying that-if the seeds you got were not fast versions of Critical Mass, just standard versions then yeah someone screwed up or they trying to pass off one strain thats very close to what you ordered but not exactly. Switch bean companies.

If it’s meant to be a fast flowerer - it could be the ruderalis genes. I just found out recently that “fast” flowering versions are F1 seeds with ruderalis not yet stable so they fast flower? Still confused on that a bit but what happened to me was that I popped 2 BlueberryxC99 fast flowering seeds & out of nowhere 1 started flowering like an auto and the other is still begging. my only assumption is that the ruderalis flowering genes came thru on one but not the other. Sucks regardless bro. I’ve been plenty annoyed with totally different end of the spectrum phenos.

This is the first time I have had a photoperiod plant go auto. I'd really like to know the genetics behind what is going on or is it a simple seed mix-up.

2 different looking plants is verry common with seeds,some strains have 4-5 pheno’s in their genetics but a photoperiod and auto in 1 pack of seeds is indeed a stupid mixup by the breeder because they have different genetics

Not a mix up at all! 2 very different phenos! Happens all the time from seed and especially with autos!

Bummer dude! At least it's a female and will hopefully produce some good resin! Where did you happen to get the seeds?
