Germination in soil takes at least 4 days. If your lights are 2 x 600w,this is a lot of heat and electricity. 1200w for 18 hours for 4 days in soil is completely unnecessary waste of energy.just turn it on once they sprout. They need dark and moist soil to sprout. HIDs will dry it out

I would keep the lights on while they are seedlings, but on an 18 hour on cycle. Also, they need really gentle light when they are babies, like 20% of what your lights can do. Also, the blue spectrum is better for seedlings.

Turn them on now! The seeds need to know which way is up! Photosynthesis happens right away! Place a clear cup over the seed areas for a humidity dome. ✌️🏻💚💨
