Curing with Boveda

BluesGrow
BluesGrowstarted grow question 3 years ago
I'm using the humidity control packs in mason jars for curing. They're holding around 50% and not reaching 62% number on the packet. Is this going to be a problem with the purple Kush by the end of the cure?

Wie groß sind die gefäße? Die kleinen Bovedas reichen für ca. 8 -10 Gramm Weed. Entweder mehr Päcken rein oder die großen Kaufen 😉✌️

No, shouldn’t be a problem. I use grove bags for cure over mason jars because mason jars lose humidity. Just use more boveda packs. And give them time! They take a couple of days to kick in.

I would agree with the fact your hydrometer is likely off.. or maybe you over dried it’s having to work to moisten it.. likely not tho. I’ve stopped using those during cure personally.. I use them occasionally for storage after a few week cure (or the later stages of a long several week cure) That said , from experience, those boveda are pretty on point for staying within -/+ 3% of their labeled number

I'm guessing you have a malfunctioning Hygrometer. I've used Bovida for awhile now and always keeps at 62%.
