I have done a couple of grows but keep getting the fresh cut grass smell instead of that nice smell. Am I cutting down to early? Or drying out too quick first 1 was defo to quick dryed in couple of days. Second 1 took about 5 days outside jars then put in jars but still the same.

Im no expert, but I think you're drying too quickly, or do you possibly have a fan hitting your bud directly when drying?? You do want air exchange in your drying space, but direct airflow on the buds is bad. The way i understand it is, when you're drying, the moister is leaving the plant, and taking with it, the chlorophyll( grassy, hay like taste). If its drying too quickly, or a fan is hitting the bud directly, the moister is leached out before it can take all the chlorophyll with it, leaving the bud really green and tasting grassy. I hope this helps, all the best

Hi! Freshly cut grass is normal if your buds are not fully cured yet. Dry them also gradually, LV best 50% and as already indicated here with the small leaves, which also provide a better smell/taste. (Drying process normally takes 1 to 2 weeks) Afterwards continue curing in pots for at least 2 weeks, tasty taste and top weed! 😉 Success and if there is a new harvest, let it taste! 👌 🌱

Oh and the dry grass smell is normal until the cure is done. If it doesn't go away within 3 weeks of jarring, then it was your drying process.

You should aim for a 7-10 day dry. If you can't get the humidity high enough, then hang it with the smaller leaves still attached. The leaves will slow the drying process. The danger is molding, but that's not a common if humidity is below 40%.
