Does topping autos work ?

Hi—- so hard to tell! I’ve topped some with great success and I’ve topped others and the two mains were stunted! It’s literally a crap shoot abs you don’t know until you do it!

Honestly it depends on the strain. Autoflowers that have bigger Genetics in them do well. Autoflowers that are small do not. Never cut a autoflower that grows slowly. Only strong fast growing Autoflowers. Check out my OG Diesel Kush autoflower diary. Heavy LST, topped 2 times, heavy defoliation. You really have to practice and know what strains you can and cannot top, you also need to know the difference between a strong fast growing strain and a slow growing strain. If you know your Genetics then you'll know if you can or not. I've tried many training techniques on Autoflowers and they all work well on the larger ones.

Hi for what gain u could have sometimes ask urself is it worth topping them? If its a case of space is getting scares then u might want to otherwise leave ur colas grow on...done both ways and found that the yield wasn't worth the risks that could follow 👍🌱 good luck with ur grow 🌼

It is defi itely possible - theres videos of a guy mainlining fastbuds gorilla glue autos (cant remember his name) and they are hefty plants.

I save topping for photoperiods. I’ve personally done it once on a auto in soil. My harvest amount really suffered compared to other plant in the tent during the same cycle. I’ve seen it successfully done in coco or hydro- because the plants speed of grown is a bit faster- but I personally will never do it again. LST them all the way!

In good conditions it works. But the real question is "Is it worth?" :)
