I’ve found a few huge calyxes among the flowers of my durban poison. I’ve checked them and they were seeds. There were only 3-4 of them on the plant. How big is the problem?

I have grown many plant that through the odd banana and created a seed or two right at the area where the male flower popped. This is more common than you know to end up with a seed here and a seed there. One single male flower amongst the entire sticky bud doesn't allow the pollen to fly like a real hermie plant, so you get a seed at the area where the male sac came out. This isn't a hermie, it is simply trying to fulfill her destiny and live on through seed production. The rest of your buds will continue to grow and swell without turning all to seed. Just keep an eye out for single nanners amongst your flowers. If you see any, wet it and pull with tweezers. Cheers

It’s the canary in the coal mine. She’s picking up pollen from somewhere. And if she could- they all could. Give your plants a good look over and see if you can locate any pollen sack- open or not. Might not even be pollen from one of your plants, if there are other growers within a few miles. 🌱

Your plant will definitely divert resources to seed production, but that doesn't mean it won't produce flowers--it'll just be a smaller yield. You can definitely chop it if you need the space, but you can also keep going and see what you get!

Hi, Usually, when a plant starts to create seeds, it completely prioritizes it instead of the buds creation. I don't think your buds will grow, as you got some seeds. I would probably cut it down.
