Hi, i started my first autoflower grow inside underneed a 100W led lamp. But im not sure about my lightcycle. I've read many different things about switching lightcycle when going to flowering state and stuff. Currently I run 18/6. Should i keep this for the whole lifespan?

18/6 is perfect for autos I'd keep it like that for the whole run

Keep this the whole lifespan, it will prolong your plant's life and growing cycle, allowing substantial gains against starting with 12/12. If seeds aren't an issue I would always start with 12/12 because of lower electricity costs and faster harvest.

Time for some Science! Do you have a way to actually measure the light at your plants' canopy level? There's a few apps for your phone out there that will do this. I like Photone, because it will give you lux, PPFD, DLI, etc. If you can get the PPFD you can use the calculator on the Photone website and figure out what your DLI (Daily Light Integral) is for the light your plants are seeing to make sure you're getting enough but not too much. Since it's a Auto you don't have to shift to 12/12 but you should find that place where your plant gets the best light exposure (something like 40-50 DLI).

Hi there depending how hot your grow space gets to what light schedule I would recommend for autos. In winter I generally run 20/4 all the way through from seed to harvest. In summer I'm more a fan off 18/6. This summer I stared 20/4 but it got to hot so dropped it to 18/6 then it was still to hot and ended up last few weeks of flower running 16/8.

Keep your light cycle constant for autos. For most stable temperatures turn your light off between 12:00-16:00 or 18:00 Try not to change the dark and light period start and end times - keep lights on and off times constant

Hello friend, you can keep 18/6 during veg and flower. Your flowers will soak up more light and grow faster and bigger in a shorter time compared to 12/12. Just remember, plants also need time to rest, so do not push it any further. Good luck!
