Added a light, how far should I hang them both from the girls?

I have added a Mars Hydro TS600 to my tent along with the Spider Farmer SF1000 in my 2x2, how far should I move them up away from the plants? I'm guessing I don't want them as low as the SF1000 was on its own which was around 15" Thank you lovely people!

Hey Growmie, Based on the specs of the TS600 and the PPFD chart, I would say that you would be good at around 18 inches. Now, by adding the second light to the mix, their will also be light received from the coverage of the other light. Your plants look like they may benefit from having both lights set around 18 inches and go from there. 15” seems close…attempt to avoid heat stress, light stress, burn, etc. As new plants they are still very easily affected by the light. Good luck 🤞

you should check this link out: https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/grow-light-calculator/ with this link you can choose the type of light you have and then input your tent size and it will tell you if you have enough light or if you need more. On top of that they also have tons of reviews on all sorts of lights as well very good link

The minimum you need for LED is 25W/Sqft. I run a 110W in 4sqft. Works a treat. I know for a fact if I had anything larger I would struggle with high temps during the late flowering. The only light I would add would be a reptile UVB light for late flower. That's the only way you can improve your light spectrum for your size of tent.

Is a 200w draw really too much? The tent is actually 2.25x2.25 which gives a touch over 5 square feet. I was working on 30 to 50w per square foot which is 150 to 250w for my tent. I previously grew 2 plants under the SF1000 and thought the buds could have done with more light but I'm guessing time will tell!

Hello friend, like Braveheart mention you have way to much light for that 2*2. I actually ran the SF-1000 on a 2.5*2.5 tent with three girls and was doing amazing. from start it hung 30 inch from pot and stayed there until just recent was able to get the SF-2000 for the tent. But the SF-1000 hung at 30 from pot full power is great the plant will grow into light. you can also check my grow if you would like to see how good the SF light does.

Seems like over kill in a 2x2. The spider farmer or the mars hydro are both man enough to do the job on their own. You are more likely to suffer some light burn in the future. I grow in a 2x2x6. My light sits at the top and on full intensity all the time. May start at 75% depending on strain and how she reacts at first. I hope this helps, just don't want you to burn those precious nugs. Good luck and happy growing

It looks like you have them at a good height. Watch the serrated edges of the leaves. If they start to curl UP then your light is to close, Or if they start to roll themselves into a joint. If the new growth starts twisting then they are to close or the leaves start to bleach. Happy Growing.
