¿36 hours of darkness second half of August to speed up flowering?_

I read a trick for indoor growers to give the plants 36 hours of darkness before switching the light schedule to 12 / 12 to kickstart flowering. Would it be a good idea to do this outside, just at the moment that they give the first sign of flowering?

No the reason for this is indoor your doing a sudden switch from XX/XX to 12/12 and by giving the extended darkness your "Convincing" the plant its now time to flower. Where outdoor its a gradual change to 12/12. If you are already seeing flowering then she is flowering. Happy Growing
