Hey there again HiddenMessage, so when talking about the root mass itself, especially with small plants there's a few things to consider. First off the plant is extra sensitive, even the oil from your hands can kill off a seedling if it's young enough. for the root mass itself though, you want to imagine what's happening in nature : microbes and bugs are constantly "attacking" the root system and this actually helps the root system develop. In my experience as long as you dont cut more than 20% of the root mass off then the plant will actually thank you. Root pruning is totally a thing in hydro , you remove the tips of the roots with a scissor . So hopefully, as long as nothing bad got on the roots, and the roots didnt loose any more than like 15% of their mass , the plant will have experienced shock but it will totally recover in a week or so. plus remember : at this stage most of the action is happening under the soil, so you just have to be patient. If you're really worried , try adding humic acid which should reduce the transplant shock from a week to only a day or so. Hope this helps ! šŸš€
