You can drill a hole near the bottom of the planter/bucket, install a spout with flow shut off, attach some hose and run to a drain. No drain then connect the hose to a cheap inline water pump and pump the solution out. I always tried to make things as easy as possible. Dwc and rdwc can be a pain in the butt, so the more automated the better.

I use a gasoline hand siphon pump. Elevate grow bucket like even a inch then start, and wait. Or pump by hand if level. You should not have much solution in reservoir. I have not lately, and am in similar spot on my DWC now. Pineapple express auto diary. Good luck and happy growing 🌱

Lol. Yeah with dwc I always have that problem. After dropping plants many times trying to do a res change I tried a few different ways. The one that worked best for me was using a fish tank syphon thingy me Bob. I opened the lid pushed one end in and used the hand pump to empty it. Then I would put fresh in. Not ideal as I like keeping a clean system. I also tried attaching rope ratchets to the lid of the pots and to the bars of the tent to suspend it but that resulted in epic failure.
