Hey there AlienScrog, see the reason for thrips is the soil is humid, probably from slightly overwatering, see the thrips eggs need the humidity to live, so that's why the strict wet dry cycle is really important. What i do is control the pests with benefical bacteria especially bacilus subtilis , Bacillus Trychoderma Israelis, these are called nematodes and they are parasites that destroy the eggs and larvae and attack the brains of the adults... anyway if you let the medium dry the thrips will eventually disappear. Make it happen quicker by getting yellow sticky tape and put it at various heights in your grow room even on the sides of the pots and on top of the soil. you can also make a fly trap like this https://imgur.com/hyvzhSN ... hope this helps growmie ! 🚀
