Half of my buds are not fatting up. Should I be worried? They’re in day 38 of flower atm. Half of buds have fatten up and hairs turned orange. Other half, stay fluffy with white hairs. They’re on the same plants and at the same hight…

@gmslave When I say the recommended dose, I mean the recommended ratio of the feed. Not the strength of the feed. So that would be the 1:2:3 ratio of grow:micro:bloom. And it's hydroponics (RDWC 16x 19L pots to be exact). Currently the water is at 0.9EC. If I go higher the EC will increase. Some have said, like yourself that I overfeed. But when I explain what I'm doing with the EC, others say the EC is on point.. they used to be able to eat from 1.1 and get it down to 0.8EC in a week. Now 1.1 would increase with 0.1 ever day.

What method of growing do you do? If you gave the recommended dose from the directions on the bottle, it is likely you overfed them. Max dose is mainly for outdoor soil grows. When feeding at or a little under the nutrition levels that plants need, your pistols should stay white and vibrant until the 5th to 6th week of flower. When you have overfed they turn brown/red to early and they won't reach the size the bud could have reached. If you want to grow properly, you need to keep your ppm and ph at proper levels inside the planter. Regular checks of my runoff keeps things good. Tells you if you need less or more food or ph adjustments. Have a look at my girls. Their finishing their 4th week of flower and not a red or brown pistol to be found, yet.

Some extra info. Couple of weeks ago they could eat 1.1 EC then EC increased and now they can eat 0.9 max. I had K deficiency symptoms (weak branches and orange spots and edges on the leafs). I use GH Flora Tripart nutrients. I laid low on the N cause I had some toxicity. But because of the K deficiency I just sticked to the recommend (on the bottle) ratio of 1:2:3 (grow:micro:bloom). I also added calmag (6% N, 5% Cal, 12% Mag) at half the recommended dose. Also: how did you see I am over feeding with this photo?

I already lowered light density to 70% a couple of days ago. Should I wait before lowering even more? Or do it now?

You should, you in stupid situation now. 1. You are already foxtailing, should reduce intensity of light or pull her higher from plant. 2. You are overfeeding 3. Find greengenes garden on YouTube, in his last two updates he explains how too much light influences top buds, he had same, those who got higher ppfd were thiner, just he caught it earlier before foxtails.
