It just started flowering, it's too late to do apply technique. What you could do is reveg it, put on 18/6 and make it grow a bit more. Although it depends a lot on your schedule and grow space. If I were you I would keep it flowering and add life to soil (bokashi, etc.) to maximize the roots efficiency. AND plant another seed to keep it 18/6 in a bigger pot to make it bigger.

The lower leaves got light burn at an early stage when they were at the top. I assumed they’ll never lose the burn colour on the tips even as the fresh plant grows above ? Also is this flowering ?! It’s on a 24h light cycle should I reduce the light now ? Cut my losses accepting a small yield and start again ?

Just remember - Less leaves = less energy being made = less growth. Removing leaves from a plant this small will severely limit its ability to make energy, therefore you will severely limit its potential to grow. There is no requirement to ever remove leaves if you don't want to. Besides, if your plant would not need those leaves, it would not grow them in the first place! Hope this helps, Organoman.

Dunno if thats real flower or preflower/ sex showing. In flower u should threat her like a princess while u can torture her in vegatetive phase. Also its not light burn on the bottom leafs, thats just unlogical when the light is coming from top. Its probably a N shortage or too less or too much water, probably too less if i look at the plant. In a plant like this i wouldnt defoliate at all, she can use the chlorofyl to produce buds. Its another story when u have ur whole growroom full with plants. In general; if u want a bushy, short plant u should top her and if u want a tall open plant you shouldnt top her. I know u probably meant the leafs when talking about bushy but still, a topped plant will produce more leafs also.
