I've been measuring my nutrients solution PH and it's between 6 and 6.5, but after a couple of days my soul is up to 8. Is this normal? I don't want to overwater trying to take ph down, nor do I want to kill microfungi with acid. Any suggestions?

How you test soil and on second day after watering ??? If it's cheap 5£ Amazon stick in soil reader - forget it, it shows how fat milk is ;)))) Your grow is more soiless , like ProMix, they love 6.0-6.2 pH then. If you give good dry out and then watering cycles ( I grew for two years in similar mix, they need more soil attitude than soiless ) - you pH will naturally balance out. Try to make some run off when water, put dry new and CLEAN plate under pot to collect run off and measure then your pH and PPM or EC. if you are very close to what you put - you are PRO and will smoke loads of ... But if readings from in and out different - you have issues ... All the Best !

that medium is composed of blonde and black peat, pearlite and coconut, and enriched with potassium and slow-release phosphorus. Its classified as soilless. as such you want your PH to be between 5.5-6.2 Next time you water, PH it down lower to around 5. this helps off set the soils rising PH. If your using a soil meter to measure PH they are not all that accurate. Best to test it with the slurry method. Good Luck!

@MadRomdel use the thing gardeners have been using forever to sweeten the soil Good old Lime I prefer dolomite lime personally and I simply add a small fistful as a top dressing and water it in well or you could use PH down just be mindful it may have detrimental effects on your soil microbiology Good luck Mate
