In my opinion, defoliation is a big mistake, completely unnecessary and most probably, even harmful to the plant. Just remember - Maximum amount of healthy green leaves = maximum energy production = maximum growth! I only ever remove yellow leaves, for by the time they are yellow, they have served their purpose. I would suggest that if your plant did not need those leaves, it would not have grown them in the first place! Grusse, Organoman.

Only defoliate when the light and air movement is being blocked and bending of leaves is not working. Try not to take anything off the plants if they are smaller then the palm of your hand. After looking at your diary I'd suggest tucking for now before removing. Your plants could get more bushy before removing a bunch of leaves. Good Luck!

No. Heal them first and your plants even being healthy would not need it. Take a look at my Seedsman auto run, that type of girl you must defoliate... Too small, too opened already ... All the Best !
