I noticed some growth that looked like seed pods on my plants. I am completely new to growing, so I was wondering what you guys thought. Is this normal bud growth, or are these seed pods? I removed a few and there was seemingly nothing inside.

These are female calyxes and completely normal for female plants. You are correct, they are indeed seed pods, but unless fertilized with male pollen, will remain empty/seedless. Masses of these calyxes result in the "buds" we smokers all seek. The older primordia/pre flowers that occur near the stems mature first and this is why they are much larger and swollen in comparison to the calyxes that are now forming in the new flowers. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Additional Notes: -I never saw any 'male parts' until the potential of these so to speak. I was looking for those "banana"-looking growths when flowering began, but never saw any. -These plants were stunted quite early on in the veg-stage, but recovered quite well. -This is around day 70 of the overall grow.
