This is a good start.
I will also bend down the side shoots coming out of that plant and try to keep everything an even canopy when they start growing in.
I like how you topped this plant as well,
I would let this plant grow up a bit and then LST the new growth coming out of it a bit. vs LSTing the main stem right away.
Both ways work, this one you have going one right now is a bit more aggressive is all.

You would have to be a fool or extremely uncaring if you could manage to pull the roots out!
No more defoliation either.......

Definitely do NOT remove the wire at the base of the stem, that wire is what will stop you from pulling the root ball out when you bend her over, everything looks perfect as she is so leave her for a couple of days and re tie her down and keep repeating every other day

Thanks for the great pictures of exactly the situation you are asking about!
I would be removing the wire from the base of the plant, it is the most likely way of snapping the stem.
The wire tie at the top of the plant is all you need.

What should I do with my plants that have grown thicc to receive more light? - First GrowMy plants (1 auto, 1 photo) have grown a lot and are now pretty thicc. Should I remove some leaves to allow more light directly on the new growths from the nodes? More agressive LST? Leave them alone? Will this tape repair a broken stem?Should I re-wrap this broken stem? Bent with too much pressure and there was a snap, though not completely severed.
