Just starting week 5 and currently in preflower. I'm starting to get some strange brown spots on some of the top fan leaves nothing yet on any of the lower leaves. I rubbed my finger over the top to check if it was rust fungus but nothing came off. Any suggestions? appreciate it

Maybe calcium issue, maybe something else, hard to tell, so purple. You will want to link your diary to any future questions and try and film them in white light so the colours are accurate. When you do this more people will answer your question as they have all relevant information at their fingertips with out clicking and trying to find it. In your diary you said your getting a new PH meter and the old one was from the dollar store. Your mediums PH maybe off and is locking out uptake of nutrients like calcium. A theory not 100% sure yet. When the new one comes in, calibrate it and test out your solutions PH compared to your old one and see how much of a difference their was. You may also want to look into getting a TDS pen for checking your feeding solutions concentration or EC. If its to high it can also cause lockouts via salt build up similar to PH getting out of wack and can make it look like a deficiency when its not. 5.8-5.9 in veg, 6.2-6.3 in flower for PH values are what your looking for when growing hydro in coir/perlite EC values are bit different as they rise with plant growth. Best Of Luck!

Thanks for the updates! Let wait and see what the new PH pen says and old one says, we can find out how much it was off by if it was at all. Also the TDS will help us figure out if this is under or over feed. Cant wait for the results.

Thank you everyone for your help I'm going to try these options and see if they work. Just got my new Apera PH meter in going to do a feeding tomorrow and check the runoff to see if the PH is right. I'm getting a TDS meter tomorrow as well so I can also check to see if I'm giving enough/too much nutrients. I have splashed some of the feedings on my plant accidentally and also got a little DE on the leaves it may just be coincidence but when I switched the bloom light on I believe the spots started to appear, the bloom light on also raised my temperature up to near 90 degrees and I had a high night time temperature too of around 88, I've got the temperature now under control but the spots seem to still be increasing so definitely thinking its some sort of lockout or deficiency.

It is nothing, no plant will ever have 100% perfect leaves, 100% of the time. If they are continuing to grow as expected, why imagine non existant problems? Most likely dots from water droplets/condensation when the lights are on, causing slight burned spots.

Did you do a foliar spray with the light on? Could be burn from that? Or a spilled few droplets ?

Nutrition demands on your plant is changing. It is one of two things. Your ph in your soil is changing to a lock out position or your plant wants more nutrition. Easy on nitrogen. You look very heavy on nitrogen.
