If they get touched they will turn brown. If not touched then it could be several things. Not enough water or too much. Same with nutrition not enough or too much. Each stage in growth has certain parts of feed it wants more of. There is limited information so it is difficult to pinpoint exactly what is going on.

Pic 2 is not of pistils but of what is known as "stipules", a growth cannabis gets at the nodes and these have nothing to do with flowering or the sex of the plant. The fact that some are brown is of no consequence, they have no function that anyone can determine. Pic 1 shows a healthy white pistil in the background, pistils will always be associated with a calyx/bract/pod. You have nothing to worry about, they will not go brown just by being touched either, unless you squash them. They usually only go brown once pollinated. Week 7 in my diary "cannabis conundrums" has some pictures that may help you understand some more about pistils and pre flowers/primordia. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Maybe the place is a bit dry?? Whats you RH at? you want it to be aorund 55% and then lower it to aorund 45-40% in full flower. There is a chart to reference called a VPD Cannabis Chart, it helps find your ideal RH/Temp ratio. Good Luck!
