Will males revert back to veg if daylight is increased by only minutes daily?

I'm flowering a male to create new genetics/seeds. I flower the males outside early spring (US - Michigan). Will more than 12hrs sunlight affect the males like it does females? Could I leave them outside without them reverting back to vegetative as the day hours increase?

(Organoman answered this in another thread posted on a similar question) Once males fully flower they will not revert back into vegetive growth, no matter how much light you give them, they seem more delicate than females and more final with their flowering, that is, once they flower, that is it.

Hello. I've read that if you want to keep a plant in veg through the darker period, Ed Rosenthal wrote: A plant only needs between 5 to 10 minutes of strong light to get through the dark and remain in veg. To disrupt the flowering cycle get a strong light and timer to shine on your plant for 5 to 10 minutes through the night. Chuck.

12/12 is the flip you use to initiate the switch into flower. As long as its getting 12hrs darkness a day it should be ok. Males will show their sex faster too, However, if there are any lights outside, like street lamps its exposed to, this can cause it to not work and may say in veg state. Best Of Luck
