Lots of comments in this question. lot of tension. I can only say what I do and why I do it. I use tap water, its fine, you can bubble out the chlorine, britas remove most of chlorine in tap but the levels in tap water are next to nill and does not matter. plus britas cost money. I also bubble my water to stabilize the PH. with my tap water it goes up in PH when I bubble it, this maybe different for you. If you live in a city try and find your city's water reports, they are publicly available. I have a tendency to use PH pens and use the dye/strings as an emergency back up. I calibrate my pen once every two weeks and it has lasted me over 2.5 years now. It was a basic one as well. The main thing to take into account is cost and what your spending it on. Yes bottled is better for taste and content but it is not for cost, same with britas, you must find the benefit between the two it should not cost you an arm and a leg to grow weed and cutting useless practices is essential. Let your nutrient solution sit out over nite, biobizz tends to drift down in PH as it sits out. this might help you hit your ideal. try not to adjust your ph till after this. Good Luck! I trust my city's tap water, I drink it myself.

Again, my POINT. I never said not to use it, it's better not to. Same way it's better not to overfeed your plant doesn't make what I said gospel but cleaner water helps and that's my point and point why ppl ask questions not just to probs but a better way. And who said bottled water. I said a 15$ pack of 6 filters and jug to get rid of chlorine. And pal, I told you I was removing them cause they were for u to read, why keep them up, so everyone can see your rants of stupidness and making me sound bad cause I took down me defending myself and now you leave it up so ppl see 1 point and 1 side. So I'll do a summary for this madmans sadness as to why he's even bothered with keeping that crap up. Firstly I stated that he asked and I gave a response as to that I said you can't use bottle water, then said get a water report. I replied wouldn't it be cheaper to get a 15$ filter than get a water report to find out what's in your water, and I said where do you live that you need to get a water report and I used flint as an example cause it came up last wk, anyways he says I live close to flint low blow, as if to stat I said something about the ppl of flint I said do you need to get a water report cause you leave somewhere it's not safe to drink or use the water. Again this just goes on and on and these are summaries to these guys response and only reason I'm putting this up is not for him to read it's because he chose to leave our disagreement but leaves it all 1 sided and if I read I'd think fuck this gottagrowsometime. I've helped a lot of ppl. And I like doing it I give advice on experience and that and this child brain that is just a sad internet troll and I won't let him dictate or have ppl label me cause he chose to leave pointless stuff up, that coulda been said in chat. Anyways wish all of you happy growing and I'm a nice guy that helps ppl when i can and this guy just has nothing else better to do, and no I'm not going to respond I got my point across in defending myself against your crazy twisting of words to suit your own sick intent. Like why keep what you wrote up if it was meant for me and I read it. Silly child.

Dude I can’t understand you.. you made a distasteful joke about flint water. Not a big deal. My whole point is that you said “you shouldn’t use tap” when tap is perfectly acceptable and will grow amazing weed if you know what’s in your tap and you evap chlorine.. as well as pH correctly obviously. When someone says you should not do something.. it’s leaving discretion to you to choose sure but it’s saying you should not do it lol I don’t know how to break this down any further.. People are asking for advice on here and you tell them they shouldn’t do something.. come on guy

I only comment cuz I’ve watched your answers for a minute and although you say you’re giving answers and making it apparent to these growers to take it with a grain of salt - you are not doing that.. so let’s try better on that front or don’t answer at all

Omg, same way ppl say "you shouldn't use PH that high", I could go on and on with examples. Man, please stop. Your sounding silly. We are here to better growers and using a water that isn't tap and hasn't got chlorine hasn't gotten any benefits over tap. Come on. Get a grip.

Wtf You can use tap guy.. just be conscious of what’s in your tap.. get a water report and be aware of what’s in it, as well as in many applications you need to evaporate off chlorine sure.. Anyway there’s so many variables here that it’s not even worth laying out all the possibilities.. just do your thing and grow the way that works for you

Hey Growmie, The only thing I can think of is that he's using some type of ph up or down to get the water to that ph level that's what we all do. If your ph is that high you are more than likely running into a lot of nutrient lockouts because the ph is off. Shoot me a message and we'll get it all worked out for you.

And them things are silly/aswell as strips, I had em well I got them with my cheap PH pen. How can you tell if it's 6.2 or 6.4 I dunno about u. My eye sight sees green, and there's not a big swing unless the PH is different by 1ph or at best .5. Drmeter does a good PH/PPM pen for 40$

Okay, well clearly your friend is growing in soil and that's the soil PH. You shouldn't use tap, buy a cheap brita water jug, it takes the chlorine and all other shit that's in tap water that kills micros. For soil you get away with the PH will still affect grow, strength and so on. But soil is very easy to manage compared to other methods. For coco 5.8-6.2 But you'll get away with a little higher but for best results aim for that range. I have biobizz ph down for my biocanna bioRHIZOTONIC as when using solo it makes 6.3 distilled water, the PH in the water jumps to over 11+ and like 1/3 of a 1ml bring 250ml down to desired strength very potent. Did I answer your question? Not 2 sure was it more a thing your looking for someone to say that's normal. I'm afraid you won't. Anyways that's why your friend is getting away with it, but be assured it's affecting harvest/growth/nute uptake/ swings in being ok then not,(droopy leafs, then not). Hope this helps some. Best of luck pal.

Green is mine, blue is the tap water. We feed same nutes but his plants seem better stronger and taller.. how is it possible for his ph to drop down from 8+ to 5-6 and mine stay the same???
