Hi Growmies,
just wondering if any have tried this method using banana peel as an organic nutrient solutions?
- 2-3 peels of banana soak on RO water 24-48 hours
- blending the peels and adding it on your watering schedule
any benefits? is it a yay or nay? or totally waste of time

I have used this method... in flower... especially after the 4th week. The extra P and K from the banana water really helped fattening/hardening of the buds.
I use living soil and the mixture is also good for all the microbes.

That method wouldn't be very effective. Banana peels will release potassium and phosphorus, as well as magnesium when they decompose, so you would have to add the banana peel directly to the soil in order to be effective. Happy growing.

Sugar in feed water (every feed?)So the person I got clones off told me to add maple sugar to my feed water. 1-tbls a gallon .
Never heard this before and he didn't explain why. Does anyone do this ? N IF SO, what's the purpose of the sugar (said regular sugar would be fine also) do it every watering ?

Minor compost tea - how long will it keepI have a 5 gal bucket of dechlorinated water, ph 6.5 and ppm 300. Watering seedlings to the bucket is going to last a while until empty. I wasn’t thinking when I made it up. How long will this be okay to water with? I have bubblers in it and keep it covered.5y ago

Coco and Worm Castings - Does Total Dissolved Solids Matter?Does total disolved solids (TDS) matter when growing in coco, worm castings, and organic dry ammendments? Am I at risk of a build up of salts? I have seen 2700 ppm in my current grow, but are these simply not salts and therefore OK? Plants look good happy. TY5y ago

Ready for a flushing ?As I don't have any magnifying glass or microscope to check the trichomes, I'm relying on the color of the pistils to evaluate the maturity of the plants. However, as it is my first grow, I don't really now if they are ready for a flushing. What do you think ?

Watering practice okay?When I water, I run 2 gallons of Ro water through every plant. I let them sit and drain for about an hour then I proceed to water them again, but this time with nutes (1100 ppm/6.4 ph). Let them drain, then they go back into the tent. Is that a waste or not? I have no issue.
